NEW YORK, March 28 /PRNewswire/ — MLB.com, the official website of Major League Baseball, will provide baseball fans with three free live previews of its most significant video streaming upgrade ever on Saturday, March 29, beginning at 1:10 p.m. (EDT). The new stream, “NexDef,” is being presented at a rate of 1.2 megabits per second, more than double the top rate previously available on MLB.com, and in a 16×9 widescreen format.

It’s a straightforward, one-time install, that in a few clicks, optimizes picture quality from any high-speed connection.”
Beginning on Opening Day, this new streaming rate will be available for every out-of-market regular season game via the MLB.TV Premium subscription package. Following are the three games being streamed in “NexDef” as part of the MLB.com free preview on March 29:

Baltimore Orioles vs. Washington Nationals, 6:00 p.m. (EDT)
